Applications are now open for the Solidarität Scholarship 2021 to identify, promote and connect the world’s most impactful young leaders to create a better world, with more responsible, more effective leadership.

Whilst the One Young World Summit 2021 will welcome digital delegates from every country in the world, the vision of “the world under one roof” remains key to the One Young World philosophy.

Utilize This Offer

One Young World invites young leaders living across Europe to apply to join the Summit in Munich to ensure that every country is represented.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Young leaders with a track record of delivering social impact related to at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
2. Aged 18 – 30.
3. Residents of one of the eligible countries.
4. Eligible to represent one of the countries.

Priority will be given to applicants able to represent countries that are less likely to otherwise be represented by delegates attending the Summt in-person.

One Young World Ambassadors ARE eligible for this scholarship and their applications will be treated on an equal standing to those of first time One Young Word applicants.

They are not able to accept applications from those who will be aged under 18 at the time of the Summit.

What does this scholarship provide?
a) In-person delegate participation in the One Young World Summit 2021 which takes place in Munch, Germany, from 22 – 25 July 2021.
b) Return travel within Europe.
c) Hotel accommodation for the duration of the Summit.
d) Meals and catering throughout the Summit.
e) Membership of the One Young World Ambassador community.

Note: If you are selected for this scholarship but are ultimately unable to participate due to travel restrictions, you will be provided with digital access to the Summit.

Please note that applications will be reviewed, and places will be awarded on an ongoing basis. Early applications are therefore strongly advised.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you, in order to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required by calls such this one);
3. Write - baby steps... - and discuss a project draft, to validate within your group the priorities of the proposal(s) and to train your grant writing skills as well;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal / project. Start now!!!
5. Do visit regularly the World Pulse website to make customized searches for grant opportunities. How?
a) Click on the Menu (left upper corner);
b) Type the name of your country in the search area (blank space); click enter;
c) Click on Filters;
d) Click on Resource;
e) Browse the results (opportunities) that will show up, by chronological order of posting;
6. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... They will enlighten and inspire your network;
7. Share the opportunities that do not apply to you but can interest others;
