The Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) is excited to announce its latest Call for Proposals in Yemen to strengthen the political and socio-economic participation of women and girls affected by forced displacement.

WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations and projects led by and working with forcibly displaced women and girls in Yemen that are high impact, innovative and contribute directly to the following objectives:
a) Promote improved socio-economic recovery and political participation of displaced women and girls in peacebuilding contexts;
b) Reinforce the institutional capacity of civil society organizations working with women and girls in forced displacement.

This Call for Proposals is linked to the Action Network on Forced Displacement – Women as Agents of Change led by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and grantees will be invited to participate in relevant network activities.

Utilize This Offer

This Call for Proposals makes available financing for local civil society organizations in Yemen through two primary funding streams:
• Funding Stream 1:
Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USD.
To provide institutional financing to local civil society organizations working with women and girls in forced displacement, aiming to reinforce the institutional capacity of their organizations.
• Funding Stream 2:
Programmatic funding from 30,000 USD to 200,000 USD
To finance projects that implement programmatic activities contributing to enhanced socio-economic recovery and political participation of displaced women and girls in peacebuilding settings.

Applications deadline: 5 June 2021.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you, in order to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required by calls such this one);
3. Write - baby steps... - and discuss a project draft, to validate within your group the priorities of the proposal(s) and to train your grant writing skills as well;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal / project. Start now!!!
5. Do visit regularly the World Pulse website to make customized searches for grant opportunities. How?

b) Type the name of your country in the search area (blank space); click enter;
c) Click on Filters;
d) Click on Resource;
e) Browse the results (opportunities) that will show up, by chronological order of posting;
