My Obeisance To All

My Parents , Gurus , Teachers , Preceptors
I bow to all who made me into what I am now a days
First and foremost it was my mother
Taught me how to smile , a toothless baby smile
Next and best it was my father
Taught me to take a small step once in a while
Third was my grandmother she was very thoughtful
She taught me to say small words little by little
' Amma ' , ' Thaatha ' so on nice way to babble
Fourth was my grandfather , my all time favorite
He with love taught me first to ride a tricycle
He was patient to teach me later after a while
With caution how to ride safely a bicycle
I did learn to drive an automobile
But never a scooter nor a motor cycle
Teachers who prepared me to enter medical school
All those Physician Professors who were responsible
To practice as a fully qualified doctor I was able
The surgical faculty who honed my surgical skill
I was fortunate to end my professional career
As Chief Professor in the same medical school
Where forty years back I entered as an young medico
Last , but not least all those patients
Kind enough to let me perform my surgical skill
I, AnasooyaDevi-Athrison bow my head to one and all
