PRAYER: Greatest Weapon of all Time

Today marks the first countdown of the ten days early morning Christmas masses, Misa de Gallo as what we call it. We started it though last night's, eight Pm mass with my two boys Gab and Mig. The boys were so ecstatic to see those vast Christmas decorations and lights that we ended up taking selfie shots in the Price Mansion here in Tacloban where the public throng in and out of it after the hour mass.

At home last night, I came upon the post of World Pulse staff and sister Karen Quiñones, asking World Pulse sisters in Mindanao if they are just okay. Another intensity 6 something earthquake hits again. This news clenched my guts having remembered that I still even have to gathered the donated and my own preloved clothing and other necessities intended for typhoon Tisoy victims in Northern Samar. And here comes another disaster when it's just actually a few days before Christmas.

I can't help asking myself then, \"Are we being punished?\" \"Is this the price of all the evils happening around in the society?\"...ceaseless crimes where innocents sacrifices bloods... women and children raped and slained. Old men and women roam around the streets begging food. Young boys carrying around plastics of solvents and practicing petty crimes where they knowingly can just get away with having this juvenile protection policy.

Are we made for this world or rather, is the world made for us?

A basic question with unfathomable answer. For with it came yet again a series of other different questions....

\"Are we safe in this world? Or is the world safe with us?\" Ironic may it seems yet this is the unabashed truth.

Every day is a struggling day for survival. Where there's no longer a balance of Yin and Yang. Negativity overlap positive outlooks in life. Darkness shrouded the last ounce of the rays of hope and light. Evils stinks and permeates the once clean and unpolluted air of the society.

Do we still have the strength to combat and survive amongst all these atrocities?

Yes!!! We need to keep pace with these everyday struggles, we need to keep our minds and senses alert, we need to wake up every day with extreme cautiousness if survival is our very first whim. We need to be flexible. We need to be resilient. Yes, resilient in the sense of making ourselves adapt to these inevitable circumstances around us yet sticking to our valued norms.

The world was created for us, and we are created to make this world a better place for every living soul in it. It's never too late yet to spare ourselves from all these seven deadly sins that grip each soul of the humanity. Let's go back to our CREATOR. Let there be PEACE, JOY and WISDOM for everyone. Let's start among ourselves. Let's be more prayerful. PRAYER. It's the strongest weapon that no humankind invented but was just freely given to us.

TOGETHER WE PRAY, TOGETHER WE WILL SURVIVE.

I pray with you sisters and brothers around the world... praying for those who need healing, praying for those abandon and sick, praying for those hungry and sleepless, praying for everyone to be safe in each every living journey here in this world.

THAT'S THE SPIRIT OF PRAYER.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.
