Matters of the heart

You cut me, I cut you, we bleed the same colour blood. Yet we continue to remain mentally enslaved by a system that was created by man. A system created to make us feel that our physical attributes define us an makes one superior to the other. Such folly!!! We continue to destroy the very fabric of our being by condemning and destroying each other whether it's by words or deeds.

The blood of our forefathers are still crying out because we are nowhere close to being liberated. Mentally bound with our own ideals, that continues to divide. We must emancipate ourselves from mental slavery. It begins with self. Our life is but  dust. Here today, gone tomorrow. Then what of the future generation? Our children and children's children.

Proverbs 13:22 says A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children. What are we leaving? Let us put vain things aside and examine ourselves and do our part in building each other up with love and unity. May God have mercy on us all. Blessings.

Hello Catherine,
Thank you for sharing on matters of the heart. So true that there is a lot of mental freedom that we need to aspire to in order love others and value others instead boxing them in this littleness of physical attributes.

I love your generational mindset in that life is not only about ourselves, but what we leave for the future generations should inspire our life and choices as well.
Indeed may God have mercy on us, and teach us who we are because we have forgotten. we have forgotten how to be human beings and agents of his love.

Blessings to you too!

Hello Cathy
Thanks for the humble words you have shared. Truly we are dust and unto dust we shall return. Be you a black or white we are all the same, covered by one umbrella (GOD).
Love you

Hello sis, Thank you for taking the time to read. I appreciate it. Blessings to you and your family. Love you :)

Hi sis, yes indeed. We are not living for ourselves. Those that went before us opened some doors for us through their own pain. We have to continue to press. I appreciate and love you sis. Thank you so much. Abundant blessings to you and your family.

So, so true. Thank you for this piece, Catherine. We were created by the same Father, so have exactly the same blood running through our veins.

Time to build up, not tear down.

A clarion call to us all.

'Appreciate you, Sis.

Hi sis, Thank you as well. Love and blessings :)

Hello, Catherine,

How are you doing, dear? At first I thought this was a poem because it began poetically.

This is so powerful. We have the same color of blood. Who we are today is a because of the choices the previous generation made. You are right that we much think of what legacy we will leave to the next generation.

Thank you for speaking up!

Hi beautiful sis, I smiled at' it began poetically'. :))) Thank you so much for your kind words. I am taking things one day at a time. Thanks for asking. Hope you have a nice day.
