The injustice in the case of Sharma Kooky

In 2000 Sharma Kooky and hi brother were sentenced to death by the High Court of Uganda for killing his wife. Sharma claimed that his wife was having an affairs with the houseboy. She was beaten badly and electrocuted until she eventually passed away. The Indian community tried to cover the whole murder but the Ugandan police managed to intervene and have him and his brother arrested for the murder.

After spending only 12 years in Luzira prison the president pardoned him on humanitarian grounds. This raises so many questions. I still do not feel that this innocent woman who was killed received justice. I am not for the death penalty but i believe he should have a received a much more harsh punishment for taking a way an innocent life.
