Dear, Freedom

Why is it so hard to get freedom no matter how hard you try.Your life is always undercontrol of your parents and it is hard to just have some alone time. It hurts my heart that I know that my dreams may never come true. I have always wonderd why is it so hard to just be you. Why can't we dress or put our hair the way we like. This needs to change Now. I know some people don't get to have the american dream ever. It does not matter how long or how hard you work you may never get what you deserve. Please let everyone have some shape or form of fredoom.

Hi Annelise,

Do you live with your parents? Believe in your dreams. Write about them every day. Take small steps toward them... they will become reality! You can do as you like. You aren't under the control of your parents.

What can you do today that you love to do?

Hello there:-)

No problem, dear:-) Do you have to live with your parents?

That sounds lovely, playing with your dog. Is she your best friend?

Hello, Annalise,

How are you? I believe when you are focused on wanting to achieve freedom, you can one day have it. So take hold on that dream, and grab every opportunity for you to grow. There was a time in my life when I was also under my parents' control, and even under the control of a religious group where women were only to were dresses, skirts, and veil over our heads. I thought that would be my life forever. But I kept praying and praying, and somehow I saw an opportunity to leave the group.

My life right now is far from who I was before. Please don't lose hope. Thank you for sharing.

Dear Annalise,
I am finding your story almost a year later and want to send a big hug and my hopes that you are holding onto those important ideas: that as women we have the right, the basic human right as outlined in the United Nations, to choose our own paths freely. As a global community we are far from that, but it is always encouraging to know that deep inside so many of us hold onto a strength and belief in ourselves, that we deserve that right. Here within World Pulse at least we have each other, moving together in the same direction, for the freedom of all women and girls. Hold onto your dreams and visions, you are not alone.
In sisterhood,
Tam
