Education is the way forward for the African child

Nothing equals walking into St Abigails Schools on a week day is like a breath of fresh air. Hearing the songs from the assembly ground and the way they recite the school  anthem and the school prayers is the reminder that education is the only weapon with which we can change the world according to Nelson Mandela . It’s also a reminder that I’m on the right track.

Having spent 12+ years as a business development officer in a bank nothing equals the kicks I get out of this school we established in 2016 to provide early years education for 0-12 years. I eventually resigned my job with the bank in 2018 to face this mission squarely. It was through volunteer work in some local communities in Lagos, Nigeria that I noticed the gaps in education and the fact that there’s so many out of school children.

St Abigails Schools Isolo was establish to bridge this gap and reduce the number by providing quality education at a subsidized rate. It’s been a worthwhile journey and there’s no looking back.
