COVID-19 affected communities get access to daily meals and food kits in Maharashtra, India

Our COVID-19 relief work impacted children of migrant workers, daily wage laborers across 47 brickyard labor camps, 35 waste picker slums, and 4 sugarcane farms. We have also secured food relief kits and delivered monthly waste picker families, commercial sex workers, and transgender individuals. In addition, we set up 3 new shelters to care for, feed, and cloth an additional 175 homeless women and men displaced by the virus. For women who were trained to make masks, we reached 10 waste picker self-help groups to take up the task of mask making for a year.
