About Me

Aparna Gopan of 22 years is experienced in the nonprofit sector and is the founder of “Elefant in the Room”, a provocative movement which runs theme-based campaigns around uncomfortable conversations and social issues. She has worked as a guest catalyst for Media and Global Issues in kanthari International training centre for social visionaries. As a kanthari fellow, she was trained in diverse aspects of social entrepreneurship, especially fund-raising, project management, and impact assessment and evaluation. As a journalist, she is interested in community media development, proactive social campaigns, and documentary filmmaking within the nonprofit sector. She currently works as a freelance content creator and social media strategist for various non-profits and publications.
