I'm ETA Dorothy Arah, a Cameroonian & last child of 6 raised by a single mother via her petty trading business. I'm a YALI Alumni, Volunteer at Rescue Women-Cameroon, Senior Hero in the Hero Nation( online leadership school) & B.Sc in Journalism & Mass Communication, University of Buea.
Until Mar 2020, I was an employee of a Micro Finance Institution for 8years. In Feb I was granted annual leave, I traveled to Ghana for a training program. I couldn't returned on time due to the COVID 19 outbreak so I wrote a couple of letters to Management. Yet they claimed they didn't know anything about it. They made a radio announcement asking I return within 8 days otherwise I'll be considered having abandoned work. That's how I returned without a job and finance to care for my mum and I.
I live with my mother in Kumba, one of the places affected by the Anglophone crisis.
I have had a few breakups in relationships & still hoping for the best.
Joining World Purse has been a dream come true.
To reach the unreached with the message of hope. Showcasing successful women so the youths will make informed decisions.
I will like the the community to support this vision by giving me the opportunity to share their stories on my Facebook page.
