About Me

Ariane is currently undertaking research for the University of Melbourne on an ARC Linkage project on transnational grievance mechanisms, with a special focus on sustained mobilisation around grievances in the tea sector in India. Prior to this, Ariane supported Dr Kate Macdonald in research looking at the mediation and resolution of company-community conflicts in natural resource disputes, and research on land and forestry conflicts in Indonesia. In 2012-2013, she interned at the Australian Red Cross and at the Democratic Progress Institute in London, and was involved with youth organisation Left Right Think-Tank. Ariane holds a Bachelor from Sciences Po Paris, and studied at the University of Melbourne on an exchange programme. She recently completed an MSc Comparative Politics (Conflict Studies) at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she focused on minority and refugee rights issues in the Asia Pacific region.
