TRAINING WOMEN ON MOBILE BANKING

The little things women do in a group makes a difference..It was a powerful moment to visit and share with Kakumu Widows Group as their patron with other guests that I had invited; basic internet skills and mobile banking skills were impacted to the women. The group officials would travel 15 km to bank their monthly savings yet they could do this at the click of the button. Now they will be able to save this money.

There was a presentation made by the secretary of the group on their history. There after the guests launched some of their programs: The goat's project from 8 in 2014 to 221 in 2019, the 310 litres skyplast water container for every woman this has improved clean safe drinking water, the big cooking pans (nyuol ber) for every women and the 3 acres orange-flavored sweet potatoes farm. This is very commendable work! Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much........
