An era of insecurity and uncertainty. The Corona virus has turn the world into an unstable and insecure zone. Life has become very difficult more than ever. But should we fold our hands and sit? Is it time for us to give up?. Price of goods in the market keeps going high and high, children are out of school, millions of people have lost their jobs, food insecurity is at its peak, married women have become a tool of sexual violence from their husband as such quarantine is causing more harm to the women folk of the world. Is the world coming to an end? No one is certain on when the downward spiral of the world will be halted. Should we fold our arms and sit? Of course not. The only way forward is to adapt with the changing economic, political and socio cultural trend we find ourselves in. Thank God today we are expose to a wide range of technologies at our disposal. It is time for us to help one another with the use of technology. It’s time we step up on our game. Organizing online classes/training to the less privilege. But still these technological innovations are very far fetch from some of our communities especially in Africa. Children in some remote communities in Africa are totally left out of the affairs of their states especially when it comes to schooling since the Covid-19 era have make learning to be online and these communities are unable to afford the technologies. Even if there are able to, there are some communities that are not expose to network so it becomes very difficult for them to use the technological devices at their disposals. Away from school, medical facilities in most African countries are below standard even for normal ailment. How then do we cope in this era of the corona virus with less medical facilities at our disposal? With technology, medical experts will be able to access some information through the internet and to collaborate with their counterparts abroad who have better medical facility for a better world tomorrow.

Technology really helps a lot under the difficult situation. Children can still keep learning at home and adults can continue to work. Without technology, our life is much worse under the pandemic.
Keep Safe! May Almighty God bless you!

Sister Babara,

I thank you very much for your informative and positive message about the use of technology.

My hope is that remote parts of your country will soon be connected so that students in rural areas can access the technology.

Keep speaking up. Keep educating us. All the best.
