Introducing myself and my journal: Changing the World (One tiny space at a time)

About Me:
The reason I speak about peace so much is because I have experienced war firsthand in Liberia. Conflict should be a word we strive to delete from our vocabulary if all people in the world decide that they want to be united rather than wage war. Selfish and greedy people in the world will not allow this to happen without a fight. I know. So long as there are men and women who benefit from the spoils of war, from the killing and maiming of their fellow human beings, from getting rich off the blood of their county men and woman, I know there will always be advocates of war and carnage. As for me, I declare that I am for peace and will do all in my power to ensure that all mankind, no matter where they live in this universe, get to live in peace and harmony. My first love is journalism. It is what I studied years ago as an undergrad at the University of Liberia in West Africa. However, since moving to the United States, I have worked in the social and human health services fields with autistic children and adults, It is a challenging area to work in but, I love to help people and I believe in the dignity of all people especially those with special needs, handicaps and mental health issues. Now, in a bid to further advocate and spread the peace gospel, I have obtained a Masters in International Peace and Conflict Resolution which I just earned in May 2011. I am ready and willing to go forth and spread the message of peace and work very diligently with groups/organizations and people who believe in the same ideals. Good shall always conquer evil I say. The battle is inevitably an uphill one but it can be accomplished wtih perseverance and determination!

My Passions:
Peace Advocacy; Conflict Resolution; Women Empowerment; Good Governance; Prevention of all forms of Violence against Women.

My Challenges:
I always view challenges as opportunities to learn. When a challenge presents itself I try to seek solutions to whatever the hurdles are. In life, it depends on whether one looks at the glass as being half full or half empty.

My Vision for the Future:
A world where all people are color blind. A place where we can all share the resources of this world in a fair and equitable manner. No creed, race, sex, religion, color or age should matter in the universe I envision.

My Areas of Expertise:
Peace and Conflict Resolution; Mediation; Women Empowerment; Media and Public Relations.
