Peace Lily

I was just sharing with my daughter ,my story of the field of peace lily and the dead bodies in trucks and rickshaws ..right next to the gates.

Both my kids often wonder of my obsession with peace lily ,why I always gift this to everyone ,why I plant so many in my garden .Why I sit and stare at them .

I didn't recognise this depth myself ,before I share yesterday in the 1000Women cohort...

It is as though in the midst of trouble or violence I always chose peace.And it is still from the eyes of a 3 1/2 year old me who loves white,and obsesses over the peace lily and not the white rose..

I know when I give a peace lily as a gift I wish and chant for peace to be ,for the woman and the girl h.Tcurrent turmoil has made  me realize how precious peace is,and why it is so lacking ...

My daughter showed me a photo of a tshirt she made ,as her own way of healing .She told me ,this is peace lilies Ma.The wearer of this t-shirt asked her to make anything I loved ..

And it seems  unConsciously I have passed on my search for peace to daughter too ...
