I am Ramatu Abdu i am from a minority mbororo community in cameroon precisely from the Northwest region.my community is highly uneducated and alot of early marriages and forced marriages are the order of the day in my community. There is a lot of Gender based violence especially on women who are believe to have no say but depends on the men.Women in our communities are not allowed to be economically empowered leading to a lot of misery and frequent divorce

Dear Ramatu,
I hope you are safe wherever you are right now and doing very well? A very welcome to world pulse and congrats on your first post as well.
Was wondering are you thinking of a project to handle or address the problems you mentioned above?
It looks very serious. I hope to hear more of your stories and initiatives. Have a great weekend.

Dear Ramatu,
These made-up laws that men should rule over women have been created and spread from about 10,000 years ago, and we are here together to change this. A big welcome to World Pulse dear sister. How good that you have found our network so that we can work together for this basic human right to choose our lives, and to be respected as women. Now as a member you can click on "Community", enter your country and find all the World Pulse members from Cameroon. I hope you get to meet some in person, and that you will continue to be in touch with us all globally with more stories.
In sisterhood,
Tam
