Sochua in Colorado

July 2, 2009 - I had the pleasure of meeting Sochua. She spoke at a private residence north of Denver, Colorado on a beautiful evening. It was both powerful and moving for all there... she is more than eloquent and so very composed, determined, and dedicated to what she stands for... plowing straight through personal weights of the heart. For those in the US or having ties to the US, she would ask to you to write and call to your government offices/officials to have them revisit the aid packages that are sent to Cambodia. Let them know that these funds are being squandered. A better option would be to fund the NGO's operating in Cambodia. A paraphrased quote, "Talking about what to do is okay, but taking action is what is really needed... and soon."

I have to leave now, but will try to update this in a few days... -c
