For a long time I lived by “The Someday Lie” -- the one about how I'd do all the things I dreamed of . . . Someday. I spent years being a people-pleaser instead of following my heart. Fears and doubts kept me flying under the radar for way too long. It took a major health crisis to get me off my bahooda instead of continuing to make excuses. I knew I didn’t want to die knowing I'd let my fears hold me back.
Fast-forward a few years. . . I'm the author of two books, I write and blog about planting hope and growing change in our communities through my 10000butterflies.org site, and launched a Share the Harvest project to combat food insecurity where I live.
To break out of my comfort zone even further, I create papier mache butterfly art because butterflies represent hope, beauty, and transformation.
Community, creativity, and collaboration are crucial to becoming who we were born to be. Life isn't a solo journey so let's inspire each other and help each other succeed.
