I am Viviane Dobgima, a 27 years old Cameroonian who is a GBV survivor. After the passing away of my parents at a very tender age, I began the process of battling with life's challenges and above all being accepted and loved for who I am. Given that I had no one who really gave me the attention and affection I needed, I became very emotionally vulnerable. This led me endure violence of every form given that I felt indebted to whosoever showed me the least concern. It went on and on until i came in contact with a certain lady who introduced me into activism. Only then I realized how much violence I had endured ignorantly. My passion therefore, is to get empowered even more so as to empower other young girls and together we will create a world free from GBV where all perpetrators will be brought to book.

The future is yours, Viviane. I support you following you passion and the impact you will have for other girls/ women suffering from GBV. Thank you with all my heart.
You're most welcome!
I dream of a world where incidences must be reported.
This is because, our African culture goes a long way to promote such acts all in the name of preserving family dignity

Hello, dear Vivian,
Welcome to World Pulse! What a joy that another voice from Cameroon is rising up.
Thank you for introducing yourself to us. We are happy you are here. This resonates with me "Only then I realized how much violence I had endured ignorantly. " It's only when someone opens our eyes that we discover we are in an abusive environment. I'm so glad you were able to break free. I'm curious how did you know about World Pulse. Is the woman who taught you activism here?
Please continue writing! I'm looking forward to reading more from you! Have a great day!
