MY JOURNEY

Posted July 26, 2016 from Canada

I live in Abuja, Nigeria. I am married to an amazing husband we have an adorable son.

I worked in the Bank for 6 years, in Human Resources and Training Department. I am an Internationally Certified Trainer. I have passion to learn, acquire new skills, meet people, network, an avid polo player and a Humanitarian Servant.

Sometimes ago i mentioned to a fellow entrepreneur about Instagram and she was confused and asked where the Supermarket was located. Until i told her that Instagram is a social media platform used to connect to as many people as possible and she was all surprised.

I am obsessed with entrepreneur spirit and my goal is to organize FREE training for as many women as possible on Basic Digital skills that will help them grow their business. I will create awareness on the training to reach as many women as possible. I intend to start training second week of August, 2016

I intend to include World pulse as a topic to enable my target audience know about this platform and get their voice heard.

All i want to do is bring about Change by helping and encouraging others.

Hi bridggyella

You are doing a noble job,it is very true. There is a very big gap out there especially to women that were not introduced to technology when they were growing up.Personally I first encountered a computer machine at the age of 20.contrary to the new generation where children have access even at an age of 3Years or less.

Hello Bridggyella,

That is a great idea you got there. One would think living in Abuja meant digitally or technologically up to date. Your experience with your colleague reminds us of the reality of most women.  Lack of digital skills etc to make their voices heard or grow their businesses.

Glad you have it figured out and world pulse like you said is the tool to use, you inspire to make sure it is used effectively in my own community as well.

So looking forward to hearing how it went come the 2nd of August!

This is to your imminent success

Cheers!

Hello Bridggyella,

Wow! What an interesting journey you have shared. And I agree with you that, like many developing countries, Nigerian women entrepreneurs are still very laid back when it comes to digital skills. You have a fantastic idea to inspire other women entrepreneurs and I am happy to share that experience with you. I would love to join you to share about World Pulse and how digital platforms like this position women for global impact. Please, share the information about your training and I am happy to join you in this great experience.

Well done dear Sister!

Dear Bridggyella,

You are so right in your post here, many women find it difficult to use the social media, it's a good thing you want to train other women, this will go a long way to help and open them to the many possibilities available online.

All the best

Hey Bridggyella,

It is so interesting how you found inspiration in a conversation! I love the concept of a free training since you have broken down a barrier to many women to learn new skills. Good work! I look forward to hearing how your training is going! Good luck with all your efforts!

Hi Bridggyella,

I am inspired by your initiative. You have identified a way you can use your personal skills and strengths to maximize creating positive change. Not only will your trainings empower women so they can learn techniques to grow their own businesses as you stated but, also, it allow each of the women in your trainings to go out and individually bring about even more positive change! I wish you much success as you develop your trainings and begin the sessions!
