ONE BILLION RISING, DANCE, RISE ….WE WILL RISE UNTIL THE VIOLENCE STOPS !!!!

Valentine's Day in Bukavu

The day of February 14, 2013 is celebrated in a special way in Bukava. Everything took place at Kamagema field, not far from La Cité de la Joie in Panzi. It’s a day full of activities. Everything is lively, the women have moved the city. Many people come together to hear the women’s message:

ONE BILLION RISING, DANCE, RISE…WE WILL RISE UNTIL THE VIOLENCE STOPS!!!!

The political/administrative authorities, the military authorities, the community leaders, the heads of churches, the civil and social organizations, the women leaders, many delegates coming from different areas, the population of the city of Bukavu, all took part in the day’s events. We are convinced that our message has been heard.

Valentine’s Day, which used to be looked down upon, has become a chance to make oneself heard…Long live V-DAY, which was so well organized on this day. We’ll meet again on March 8, 2013.
