Nigerian women and girls are not safe anywhere!

As a result of COVID 19, violence against women and girls in Nigeria is a pandemic sized problem. Women and girl are not safe anywhere. Result of surveys shows that millions of women and girls live in fear of being abused, assaulted or raped

55% of Survivors of violence have no access to any form of support

70% of Survivors of Gender Based Violence are not getting justice

3 in 10 Nigerian women have experienced physical violence by age 15(NDHS 2013)

Prevalence of Intimate partner abuse was 49.3 ( E. O. Oluwole 2020)

66% of Nigerian rural women and 41% of urban women remain digital illiterates.

Women Inspiration developing Center through our Confident Girls Initiative (CGI) is developing a mobile App called “Sisterhood Connect” to bridge the gap between survivors of violence and the NGOs that can help them. GPS locator will be used to get the location of women in need of help and she can send an immediate SOS message to nearest NGOs.

We are Partnering with at least 72 NGOs working on GBV in the 36 states of Nigeria that will on the mobile app so that they can be connecting with victims of violence in all corners of Nigeria.

We are establishing Confident Girls Clubs (CGC) in at least 300 Schools (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary) in Nigeria. we are partnering with World Pulse to train Confident Girls Ambassadors on 1) Basic digital training 2) Safety and Security Online 3) Digital Storytelling and 40 Online Advocacy.

Partnering with Empowerment Institute to organize Agency Based Empowerment Workshop for Confident Girls Ambassadors to find their voices, discover their powers and live their dreams.

We are organizing Summer camps twice every year for Confident Girls Ambassadors

We are calling on NGOs working on violence against Women and girls in Nigeria to sign up with us as we go on this journey to make Nigeria safe for women and girls.
