CAEPA Cameroon will offer a training course on sustainable development in Agriculture. One of CAEPA Cameroon mission is to train youth in sustainable agriculture for nutrient and health and food security.
To achieve sustainable development this introduction course will train youth and upon completion give a certificate. This course will equip youth participants with the basic skills for in creating organic composting for fertilizer and animal feed and basic entrepreneurship as a farmer, making biogas from human and animal waste, making charcoal briquettes from food waste
The course is offered both in English
After completing the course, participants will be able to:
- Distinguish key elements of organic composting of food waste
- Discuss challenges and opportunities for agriculture in Cameroon
- How to start your own garden
- Green economy
- construction of biogas digesters
- Livestock production
Eligibility
Any youth interested in learning. They can later form their own co-operative farms which will help them create wealth and employment
The total number of learning hours is 32 over 8-weeks period (4 hours per week), including study time (2 h/week)
During weeks 1-5 the main learning materials are complemented by a range of learning activities and experiences that include interactive exercises, discussion, and an applied case study. Weeks 6-8 are reserved for wrap-up and completing course assignments
Participation fee is 1000 FCFA.
