A Path to heal and unite.

“I’ve come to believe that each of us has a unique calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint – and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service.” – Oprah Winfrey

One of the most powerful and significant things I have had to do is to take leadership of my life and align it to God’s purpose for me. In it I have been able to identify the most important roles, relationships, and things in my life; who I want to be, what I want to do, to whom and what I want to give my life, the principles I want to anchor my life to and above all the legacy I want to leave.

My personal vision in life is to contribute to the happiness and well being of as many people as possible especially the women. After healing from my past wounds, I realized that every time I shared my life’s experiences with a person, they open up and pour their heart out. I listen to their problem, offer a word of counsel and they are not the same again; this gives me such joy that words cannot express. I had become a master in procrastination when it comes to getting these stories written or even aired, besides not having a platform to do the same but WP changed this.

My dream is to help reconstruct the lives of women and especially girls. Apart from connecting with other women via this powerful platform; World Pulse, I want to start a Women Empowerment Center in my community, this community-based mentoring programme will help combat the obstacle of early marriage and school dropout. This will be a place where mentorship of young girls will take place, guiding them to make the right choices for their lives.
According to William Jennings Bryan--- “Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved.”
This center will also carry out mobile clinics in the community reaching out to the parents, creating awareness on the benefits of educating girls. To discourage them from the culture of giving out young girls for marriage and also empower the community with life skills that will enable them cater for their needs economically. By getting the whole community involved in this cause, it will bring a positive change that will see an end to early child marriage not only in my community but also in the whole world.

When I first signed up for Pulse Wire I was intimidated, the thought of sharing my voice with the rest of world was out of the question. However, a few months down the road, I not the same. I am now enjoying every bit of WP.
I want to be a voice of our future correspondent in order to gain the skills and knowledge that can help sharpen my unique voice. I want to be able to communicate my vision to my community and the global audience with ease and clarity and above all strengthen my leadership skills. I want to be able to share my experiences and those of other women in my community as I journey through this program together with many other amazing women. As a voice of our future correspondent I will be connecting with people of different; background, cultures, race, gender etc.
A problem shared is a problem half solved so they say; I want to be a voice of our future correspondent so that I can learn how to conduct an interview and do a profile. I also want to learn how to use new media to magnify my voice online; streamline my online experience and store information.

This will help me achieve my vision through skills and knowledge acquired from the training, mentors and facilitation. After all this I will be empowered with knowledge, skills and manpower (consultants i.e. an online community).
