Money

Hmmm what is money? What is the price you pay... to "have" money?

And is anyone else becoming interested in the Metaphysical or even Mysticism these days?...

Here is a poem I wrote about that Mystical phenomenon called "Money"

Money Mystique, Money Transmutation- The Alchemist

Money invested is

Money congested

Within, Interests?... numerical theory?

Slides through the fingers

Flies in it’s say

Give wings to its value

It must passeth away.

Money is system,

The price is denoted

The cost of the cloth of the robot as quoted

Giving life to its value

Like dust it doth say

Everything touched must passeth away

Those who are owed to

Pay dues in their fray

When we hold on

To what must passeth away

Let it slip through the fingers

Exchange what it bring

Give what you take

Then you’ll want for nothing!

Holding on to the thought

Makes you sigh…

It’s quite funny

That I’m richer when I’m giving freely of money.

Hi Cat,
Yes strange how money started of being real tangible coins that if you knew you had you had it, and now, it's virtual. How do we even know money is money anymore?
I agree with the sense of freedom that comes with giving, because then, money is not the boss. And in any case, when you have the inclination to give, even if you don't have much, you will find something to give, and that's real wealth.
Thank you for an engaging poem.

Thank you so much Nini... for taking the time to reply! We could debate what money is for hours, let alone, what it represents, but I think ultimately you can rise above money being the master if you can somehow transcend the consensual meaning of it as currency... and creatively allow life to somehow provide for your needs and deliver you to a peace of mind that only love can bring. Much love and warmth to you and all :)

Hello, Cat,

Congratulations on your first post! It's insightful. You're observant and a deep thinker to be able to write about money.

How ironic it is that to keep more money makes you a slave to it, but when you are free to give it away, makes you the master over it.

It nows lead us to a question: what is life all about? all the chasing to acquire more money? Wise are the people who are slaves to it.

Thank you for sharing! Please keep those thought-provoking posts coming! It's nice to have a new voice from Ireland rising up. We hope to know more about you!
