Depression is classified as a mood disorder . It may be described as feelings of sadness ,loss or anger that interfere with a persons everyday activities .

People experience depression in different ways .It may interfere with your everyday  day work ,resulting in lost time and lower productivity ,it can also influence relationships and some chronic health conditions.

It is important to realise that feeling down at times is a normal part of life . Sad and upsetting events happens to everyone but if you are feeling down or hopeless on a regular basis you could be dealing with depression . Depression could be considered a serious medical condition that can get worse without proper treatment . Those who seek treatment often see improvement in just a few weeks.

Sadly we have turned a blind eye to this monster(depression) in this part of the world ,sadly as it may sound depression is real , the earlier we start paying attention to it , the better it is for everyone .

Depression is so real , let's talk to a friend ,a brother ,a sister ,a neighbour , father , mother ,classmate , colleague the list goes on  . Let's take people seriously when they are hurting , let's encourage more ,love more and more and criticize less ,suicide happens within seconds at that moment it seems like the best and only thing to do . Issues pile up in their mind and they feel life is no longer worth living . Depression gives birth to suicide . To everyone hurting I love you so much and iam sending you love , hugs and light . We are here for you if you need some one to talk to .

You are amazing ,You are fabulous . I love you so much .

Thank you and stay blessed .

Love always Chi .

Hello Dear Chi,

How are you doing, dear? You have such a lovely, and caring heart. Do you know of someone who is suffering, or are you concerned in general? Depression is real, and, yes, people need to be more compassionate and caring for those who are suffering from depression.

I hope you and your family are safe and well.

Hello Beautiful Jill .,
Iam good and you ?
Thank you so much ..
Here iam concerned generally because a lot
Of people are depressed
and most people they trust are not helping matters ,just last week a young man of 32 committed suicide in front of his mother ,I had they criticize him alot that was what made him depressed which led to his death , I think we have a path to play by showing support ,care and love to any one that needs it ,we should learn to love more and criticize less . Thank you .

Hello Love,

Great to hear:-) I'm doing well, thanks.

Oh, dear. Yes, I can imagine. I agree with you. It seems like this is a particular area that you're really passionate about. Does your work involve mental health? I don't recall.

You're welcome. Hope you have a great day, and rest of the week!

Hello Love,

You're very welcome. Well, that sounds like there's some cross over there, to me, love. Empowering and caring for others is at the crux of good mental health:-)

Hi. Hope you're doing well. May I share a tip? I recently learnt about myself that when I'm starting to feel depressed, I can feel my energy dropping and my mind is blank. I quickly acknowledged my feelings. Depending on the type of day I'm having, I either keep myself extremely busy or I lay in bed and think (I now those are not the best solutions, but it works for me). I thank you for sharing your story. Take care and stay safe.

Hi Chi, thank you for sharing. Depression can be dangerous. If the person who experience depression is aware of it herself/herself, this person can talk to someone or seek professional assistance. But, if the person is not aware of the problem, this can lead to horrible consequence. Anyone around us may suffer from this problem. We may need to keep alert to our friends, relatives, neighbours, etc. and bring in early attention.

May Almighty God bless you all!

My dear sister Chi,
This is such an important subject, and you have made it easy to think about more deeply, and with such loving suggestions that watching for people and showing some care is strong medicine. Your beautiful heart is shining. So glad you are here with us all in this sisterhood.

A good reminder, when people are depressed others think it just requires you to "just snap out of it" and the support required is often missing. We have a duty to empathise. Thanks for this reminder
