MY FIRST WORLD PULSE CLASS

At my work place, I come across a lot of young girls between the ages of 19 - 25years.  On this fateful day, I decided to call some of them together to start a class on World Pulse - telling them what World Pulse is all about. A space where they can share their stories of disappointment, bravity, accomplishments, joys, sorrows, etc as a woman and stand not to be condemned but be encouraged and be understood.

They were so excited that for once in their lives somebody can hear them out.  Some of them have been abused, and were so ashamed to tell anyone because according to one of them, "nobody would believe me".

I am also mentoring them. They are all graduates in different disciplines.  In our subsequent classes we'll cover topics like, women empowerment, gender equality, sexual and reproductive health education, gender based violence, leadership skills and some other life skills. Other topic will also include soft skills.
