A fight against the abuse of the girl child

Recently in Nigeria, and in many other countries of the world, women have been experiencing series of abuse, both domestically and in public places, from both the society and people we call our loved ones. How long should this continue? How long are we going to keep being silent about this matter? Are we going to sit down and allow all our women to be abused before something is done about the situation? The rape cases, the insults as a result of barrenness, the refusal of women to assume political offices, the refusal of women to receive formal education in some tribes, the degrading of women in our societies, the refusal to let our voices be heard. Its time we did something about these. Bodies need to established and agencies set up to combat these. We shouldn't mind if we'll all be called feminists, special forces need to be put together for this,  we must ensure that our lives are valued and we are treated equally in our societies.
