Our Lockdown, Turning it Positive

\"The
The Lockdown

The news of Covid -19 in my country brought fear, anxiety and panic. Then the lockdown , it was like an impossibility. How on earth is one expected to stay home for two long weeks? Then the panic buying .Nothing else in the world mattered like food, water and shelter. The cars were parked, beautiful clothes locked away in the wardrobe. It dawned on me that everything else other than food , water and shelter were vanity.

I entered into me to find a way to cope.Grabbed my pen and a sheet of paper and in a while penned down a poem inspired by the pandemic.

I contacted my Women writing group on Whatsapp and inspired them to write and today we have a collection of 32 peoms published online with these linkshttps://publish.okadabooks.com/book/about/echoes/32384 and on Bambooks with this linkhttps://bambooks.io/Book/BookDetail/Echoes/12485.

The title of our collection of poem is Echoes.

Though the lockdown got extended but we found a way to pull through via writing and learning of skills and regular evening classes on motivation  and how to cope now and after.

It's been an aweson time and very rewarding.

Not to miss out on my online courses on Futurelearn.Technology, has really come to to our rescue and has come to stay.
