The Need For A Skill.

In 2020 job failed!

Yes, job failed many due to the pandemic. Many breadwinners of households lost their jobs. And some few lucky ones had their salaries slashed.

The world had to embrace the 'new normal' which included being indoors for weeks and even months without a job.

Many could barely eat and only God can tell how many others survived till date.

The pandemic hasnt left us and even in my dear country Nigeria where we have been blessed with low number of infected people has suddenly began to experience a spike.

The fears of catching the deadly virus is hitting many anew.

Off all that happened, one thing was standing tall and that was Skills.

People with skills survived where many were laid off

Many only needed to move shops to the online spaces and had the logistics company deliver to their customers.

Today, not so much has changed. And like i did last year just before the lockdown i have assenbled a couple of women  with vasertile skills to teach others so they too can learn and stay afloat in this unpredictable times.

Its a two day online skills acquisition program on how to make salads, paifait, spices for cooking , perfumes and tie and dye .This will help some interested women and girls pick up a skill. After the training, they can ask for a Masterclass. And with a token for the facilitators. Anyone can join from anywhere because its online.

No woman should be left idle at these uncertain times

Time to pick up a new skill and get established.

Let us join hands together to defeminize poverty in our society.
