Reimagine Sierra Leone Without Violence Against Children

Greetings to all my World Pulse family. I hope you all are doing pretty good. Please family accept my apology for my silence all this while.  I bring you good news today.  Before this time, my team and I have been planning to host a poetry and easy writing competition on the theme' Corporal Punishment Should Be Prohibited In All Schools Across Sierra Leone' which was to happen somewhere around this year.  The good news I have for all of us is that the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) and Dr David Sengeh (Minister of Basic and Senior Education also the Chief Innovation Officer) presented a project on ' Anti Corporal Punishment In Schools' to the cabinet of Sierra Leone, and fortunately, the initiative was approved. Now, corporal punishment is prohibited in all schools across Sierra Leone. This was a rewarding news for me and the children my team and I are working with.

Therefore, since corporal punishment has now be prohibited, my team and I have changed the event's topic to ' Reimagine Sierra Leone Without Violence Against Children' this event is now going to take place on the 26th of November 2021 here in Freetown, Sierra Leone.  I have attached two photos. One is the MBSSE's Anti Corporal Punishment Initiative and another one is our upcoming event with all the details on it.

My team is looking for a female judge from Sierra Leone, to judge the essay writing part of the event. Please if you know of anyone kindly recommend her to me so that I can write her an invitation letter.

Thanks to all of you, the donors, friends and others. Our gofundme page was able to raise £304 though the event is going to cost us more than $1000. We are planning! My spirit of achievement, greatness and success is greater than that of my fear. My team will continue to dream big and work towards it for the betterment of our future generation children and the betterment and safety of all children, women and girls across Sierra Leone and the world at large.

Love y'all
