REIMAGINE SIERRA LEONE WITHOUT VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN

Hello, fam! It has been a while since I post a story here. I have been busy with my team planning for our end-of-year National Poetry and Essay Writing Competition event with the theme ''Reimagine Sierra Leone Without Violence Against Children'' I hope everyone is doing pretty great here. This is my home and you all are my family.

I want to use this opportunity to shout out a big THANK YOU to all those who supported this event directly and indirectly.

The event was in a bid to promote good quality education and the prohibition of violence against children, women, and girls in Sierra Leone. The motive of the event was to promote a broader knowledge on positive discipline practices, promote a broader knowledge on educational and methods that serve as an alternative to corporal punishment against children, and raise people's awareness on the prohibition of all forms of violence against children. We had about sixty-four [64] attendees in all and we appreciate that.

Please find photos of the event. Also, you can check on the website for the winners https://www.flisl.org

I can proudly say, it went well and we had a great time with all of the participants and other distinguished attendees from different organizations, schools, and home communities regardless of the challenges we had.
