I KNOW THE RAPIST

It is easy to say 'She is a victim' but it is hard to say 'He is the Rapist'. Sometimes i asked myself, why is that? Again, i realised oh, is it because the rapist are our fathers, uncles, brothers, and sons? We need to know the rapist just like we know the victims and bring them to justice no matter who they are. I am not a woman in the outside but I am a woman in the inside. If I was not fortunate to see my mother does not mean i should not fight to see the future of our women and children regardless the fact that my voice is small, my hand is short ad my pocket is silent, my passion to protect women and girls will not be a graveyard. I am brining up a community anti rape campaign called' Report To Stop Rape' with the aim of raising awareness on issues affecting our women and girls in Sierra Leone and to as well translate the 2019 Sierra leone Sexual Offences amendment Act  to nine local languages to enable local people who cannot speak and understands Krio or English and what is in the acts to understand it so that they can pass the information to their children.

Chi, thank you for those words of appreciation! The world has not been grateful to women at all not forgetting the fact that, everyone on this earth is here today because of women. They agreed to pave the way for all of us.

How poetic. Your passion is beautifully articulated here. We hear you, and thank you for amplifying this crisis within our country. I hope you are plugged into the movement which has emerged in the recent weeks, seeking justice for victims. Well done!

Sister Isata, thank for that. I must say this, every wire around me is plugged into the movement of protecting women and girls. I am in pain just like them because when a woman is sad, God is sad too but most people do not know that. If a state cannot achieve its goal of development, it is because women are not empowered and they are abused.

Hello, Ibrahim,

Welcome to World Pulse! What a joy that a new voice from Sierra Leone is rising up!

I have much respect for you, brother, for standing up against rape and for being an ally of women and girls. Kudos on your campaign! May more men follow suit.

Please keep writing!

Thanks, Karen. Writing has always been my comforter, it is a free tool anyone could make use of to tell their untold stories freely and it has helped me do that with no cost to complain
