Child Sexual Abuse and Prevention

No parent can be an expert on all aspects of child development or on the most effective ways to support a child at every age.Every year April , the UN and other partners choose to recognise this month as the National Child Abuse Prevention Month to wholeheartedly recognise the importance of families and communities working together to strengthen and to prevent child abuse and neglect. Through this collaboration, prevention services and supports help protect children and produce thriving families. This event is a call to action. We want young people, leaders ,community stakeholders and parents to have the necessary preventive skills to protect their children from all forms of abuse. 

#FutureLeadersInitiativeSL is working towards this drive and on the 15th of April this year, in partnership with We Yone Child Foundation, Stop It Sierra Leone, End Violence Against Children, and other organisation, we will be hosting a webinar on the topic ‘Child Sexual Abuse and Prevention’. I am pleased to invite all sisters from WORLD PLUS to come as participants or as guest speakers.
