Introducing myself and my journal: Women Empowerment in Northern Uganda



About Me:
I am Agal Olive Carol from Northern Uganda, Acholi by Tribe and aged twenty six. I am a professional Social Worker, Counselor, a feminist activist and practioner. my career objectives are actively participating to utilize the available resources to plan, modify and develop to suit the goal of a programme, Health protection and promotion, indulging in Women rights and Empowerment and Development, actively Advocating for the marginalized in a community like the Children, Women, Persons with Disability, Persons living with HIV and AIDs among others, actively participating in promoting motherhood safer and improving Reproductive Health, promoting Gender Equality, mentoring, counseling and guidance, assisting in Humanitarian emergencies, Brainstorming ideas with others to come up with comprehensive and appropriate solution, resource mobilization and proposal writing, participating in processes and programmes that reduce and prevent Gender Based Violence.



My Passions:
Protection and promotion of Human Rights, Women's Rights and Empowerment, Good Governance and inclusion of all in decision making processes that affect one's life and the community in which one lives in.



My Challenges:
Negative attitude because of my commitment to women empowerment, low capacity to develop my career further to fulfill if not all then most of my career objectives



My Vision for the Future:
A community where all Human Rights are respected and promoted, women roles and responsibilities valued and recognised and all women empowered to be a better portion of a population



My Areas of Expertise:
Human Rights, Children care and protection and women empowerment.
