It is true to say that without educating a woman, there is no society.Women have played a virtual role in families and community at large. But in Kenya, under maasai community they belive its only men who can be educated.Women are left at home to do the core house work.Cultural norms and beliefs have killed our society.Female genital mutilation and wife inheritance still exit.

According to the Kenyan statistics, it reveals that every day6,000 girls from the Horn of Africa to sub-Saharan nations are subjected to female genital mutilation (FGM). With fierce determination and deep love for their communities, brave African activists are leading a formidable, fearless grassroots movement to end 5,000 years of FGM.

More organisations have come out to sensitize the public on the effects and consequences of fgm. Thanks to the new constitution that has come out clearly to stipulates that FGM is a crime.
