Sejal leading an awareness program with her girls' group

Sejal - a fiery 18 year-old is the main breadwinner of her family of 8. Her father met an accident few years ago at his workplace, and has been disabled since. Sejal forewent her college fees then for her father's medical expenses. While she dropped out after class 12 to earn full time, she ensures that her younger sisters stay in school.

Archana - is mother to a grown son at 34. Since her teenage years she has worked at home and outside to ensure a better life for her sons. An accomplished tailor with no formal training, she wishes to do a course in fashion designing and provide employment to other women in her village. As her older son too enters college, she can afford fees for only one - will she choose her son or herself?

A scholarship will ensure that Sejal and Archana get the college education they deserve. There are 34 other young women and men like her including trans persons, minorities, dalits and adivasis for whom we need to raise about Rs. 1.75 Lakhs. You can help.
