Nude Videos as a Weapon against Women in Cameroon

This week Kumba Town was made more popular in Cameroon and the World at Large, following a nude Video which was uploaded on the Social Media, popularly known as "Epie". This was a video of a young girl of about 17 who was threatened by her boyfriend after receiving 2500frs(5 USD), from him. Under Duress, she was stripped naked and asked to finger herself while the boy video taped it. Her plea was ignored by this boy, who asked the girl to open her legs wide open and inserted his fingers into her vagina. Worst of all, the pride and dignity of womanhood was forsaken because of 2500frs (5 USD). The lifetime Trauma, Humiliation and stigma on this lady. A stain that cannot be removed by any detergent in the world. What is the world saying about electronic Violence against women? What is the world doing to mitigate the unintended consequences of ICTs? I call on everyone. Men, women, boys and girls, old or young, wherever you are and what ever you are doing. Join me fight against electronic violence against women. Defend these victims and sensitize the public on the responsible use of the social media. Teamwork is very essential and we will only succeed if we stick together. TOGETHER WE MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
