Hello. As citizens of the DRC, we suffer because of many things. First, our country is rich while the people themselves are poor. The authorities care only about themselves and don’t give a damn whether or not their families are suffering. So what are we supposed to do as children is our parents abandon us? Life here really is lowly.

Hello, be strong and know that family can be something that is NOT a mother and a father. I know its hard, but its very important that you make good friends and don't hide from relationships, especially if you have other relatives you can be with. As human beings we all need relationships to make it through life, whether in DRC or Australia, everyone needs friends. If a mother and father abandon you, maybe they were not good to have anyway? You need people in your life that will stick with you through good times and bad. Go to the local church or mosque and you will find some good people there...Alone we cannot survive, but together we can grow strong and live a rich life...Family is what you make it....Good luck, be strong, you are valuable and worthy of love.

Yours, Nicholas

Hi Delvie!

Thank you so much for writing. I am sorry to hear about the DRC suffering. I would love for you to add more details to what you wrote--maybe you could give examples about what ways people are needing help from the government or about what happens to both the paretns and the children when they are seperated. While these topics are really hard to talk about, people are really interested in hearing what you have to say and learning from you so that they can help. Are there organizations for the abdoned children to help eachother? Please remember that while life seems lowly, you are a strong woman and you have a whole community of fellow women who want support you!

Hang in there and all the very best,

Mila

First, thank you very much for your courage to share these topics. You have found strength in voicing your concerns, and a community is listening and would love to hear and learn more.

How do you think we can make the authorities more responsible to their families and society? You mention suffering from many things. What other things?

Yours, Amir
