Reach the World Via the Web

The world today is referred to as the 'jet age'. What has brought this about? Its the ability to, at the speed of course faster than a jet, pass and get information from the farthest part of the world on a connection called the 'internet'. This is the power of Web 2.0.
It has become a usual thing to at the first sign of dawn, check ones phone or computer to see the latest news and events. And of course, we know the bad ones get the widest publicity! This is the power of Web 2.0.
In my community, which is male dominated, I see a lot of women who fence the world of computers off as belonging to men. But do I agree? Of course not! I personally make it a point of duty to learn and actively participate in every new wave of technology and through this 'jet' means,propagate the gospel of the possibility of a better world free of rape and abuse of women(physically and othewise); women being intimidated by women( eg female genital mutilation). A world where women can contribute their own quota stand up for their rights and be the best they ever can be.
I believe, if we all make up our minds, that we can start, join or support a cause we find worthy through the power of Web 2.0.
