Introducing myself and my journal: Using the ARTS! to speak OUT!



About Me:
I am the Director for Curriculum Development Project in Johannesburg and NGO of 25 years. We focus on using the arts to develop programs to empower children, youth and women. We are passionate about advocating for the voices of women and children to be heard. Our organisation has 3 units: 1. Early Childhood Development Unit; 2. Schools Unit; 3. Women's Unit. A large number of our programmes are run nationally in South Africa. In our Women's Unit we have an Arts as Advocacy Project; Art as Economic Liberation Project, Train the Trainer Project, Naledi Yameso and a Human Rights Awareness in Schools Project. Our organisation is currently developing a regional Teaching and Learning Hub through the Arts. We are very keen to partner with Organisations both Nationally and. Internationally.
