A Letter To All Leaders/ Government public officials et al

To those who govern and are to provide leadership. aide, services and by example demonstrate rules of law, socially acceptable behavior, democracy, fairness etc I am now suggesting that more direct action be taken that actually reflects this.

Human Rights, Civil Rights are constantly being compromised all over the world and I can personally attest to this first hand in Canada. Privacy breaches also common practice, abuse of power by different agencies but mostly law enforcement. There are well documented criminal cases where law enforcement has compromised these cases and the victims and witnesses recently in the past 10 years in BC alone and the courts are no better. All of this is done at the expense of tax payers and the victims and witnesses.

people in countries everywhere fought and continue to fight for freedom and right and these actions of wrongdoing by others in agencies and law enforcement etc are an insult to all veterans who paid the price for freedom and democracy.

It is paramount that all people stand together to defeat this element of corruption and move forward towards a strong and healthy society that is no divided but united in principles, areas of law and human rights.

That those things we all have in common unite people in every country to be effective in communication and translation for the needs of the world community

Hi Diane,

I agree that having Human Rights in the written law does little good if these rights are not followed. You mention breaches of Human Rights in Canada by law enforcement. Can you give some examples of the ones in BC that you have become aware of? Your overall call for attention to Human Rights breaches is important and I agree that as we find ways to stand together globally we may find ways to create these changes that we know are necessary.

In sisterhood,
Tam

Hi Tam
several people including myself are witnesses and victims of crime. we reported these events to RCMP and asked for arrest and charges. no action was taken by RCMP. Then complaints were registered and an RCMP member from Victoria to meet with us may 28 to resolve the matter reopen the cases and deal with the members that mishandled the cases. I taped this meeting. Yhe so called investigating officer lied to all of us he went behind our backs to a 3rd party and said he was not going to do anything referred to us as a nuasance and was closing the cases with no investigation this was the day after he met with us. i was contacted by the 3rd party

Hi Diane,

Thanks for sharing your passionate and important call to action. Who or what office oversees the law enforcement offices that are corrupt? Can you or a whole group of people send letters/emails to those governing bodies in their areas addressing their concerns?
