I love to meet new people and learn and share with them. My passion is working with young people to help them recognize their power to be, do and affect change. I am the Founder and Executive Director for Good Journey Development Foundation, a community and youth leadership development organization that has challenged more than 300 young people to be leaders in the community.
I am passionate about creating space for and influencing change that improves our living together.
I also work with NCCJ St. Louis, and have facilitated a school-to-prison pipeline workshop at the Missouri History Museum, as well as inclusion and anti-oppression workshops for Columbia Public Schools, McKendree College staff and student orientation leaders, and Washington University residential assistant staff. With Vector Communications, I co-facilitated region-wide youth violence prevention strategic planning workshops, and co-facilitated strategic planning workshops for the newly formed St. Louis Economic Development Partnership.
I also developed and facilitated professional development for charter school educators that focused on internalizing school vision, understanding and demonstrating the desired school culture, and improving communication. I planned and facilitated a conflict management and resolution workshop series for staff working with young mothers in a residential facility. I have planned and coordinated conferences and events for the U.S. Peace Corps, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the Saint Louis Art Museum, and College Summit.
I served on the education development committee, international awareness committee and chair of the arts and letters committee for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter. I am an alumna of the 2014 Community Arts Training (CAT) graduating class through the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission and a Nine Network community producer.
A world in which the resources needed to overcome the challenges and obstacles of life are truly available to all, so that potential is met and intended life purpose is achieved and our world is made better for it, is my vision.
