8 years old boy selling peanuts and quickly became a student

This is a somali mother who dared to raise her voice,  after getting encouragements by world pulse sisters

On Saturday January 30,2021, I went to the pharmacy I felt headache to bough Paracetamol it’s our neighborhood Ba aad marked Karaan District. Normally theirs is a lot of shopping and small business at that time was closed all though it was limited people movements.

It was 9:30 pm night and dark I sow young boy siting behind pharmacy and selling nuts he has 20 pcs while 1 pcs is 1000 shilling Somali all the nuts is around 1.5 dollars. I said why at this time siting here he informed me he cannot go at home until peanuts are sell and get a many.

I asked where is your mother and father he said my mother was died before three years and my father is at home I want to give him money. I personally took the nuts and gave him 200,000 shilin somali equivalent 10 dollars I said I bought the peanut from you go your home and sleep.

He laughed and become very happy then I saw the next day with his father I sat with the father and discussed him, my wife was died before 3 years I am caring six children before COVID I was working Construction company as security gourd they resigned me for during the lock down of COVID 19 issues our life is very hard and the boy helps me Said Farah Hassan.

I shared Sweco group we agreed to respond him the father and his 6 children we told him that he is not alone and will help as much as we can. we asked him if could we take the boy at school I thank allah he allowed us take after request to Jabir Intermedia primary and secondary school to sponsorship alis education they accepted he started two Subject’s Somali and English This is Alis first time going to school. Jabir School is one of the schools we support.

He pierced me my heart the boy, When I saw the young boy selling peanut at this time I felt pain and felt more responsibility as women, we are the only organization that vacates both women girls and children in the Country. I personally stand with women girls and children in my town as I leant helping and assisting with them.

sometimes I cannot express my feelings verbally instead I can measure it by action or Act. We need to become good finders. We need to focus on the positive in life, let’s start looking what is right in a person or situation instead of looking for what is wrong.
