SMILES OF HOPE

Here is her story as pure as Gold.

My passion about education has always pushed me to extreme ends of bringing hope. My work involves restoring a hope and future to bright needy girls through access to funding for education. I stand with girls to end absenteeism and period poverty due to lack of menestrual cycle management sanitary pads. I  believe that an educated girl reflects an educated community and the world at large. My main aim is to speak out for and see girls succeed through reduction of teen pregnancies, child marriage cases and ensure the number of girls dropping out of school is zero% in kilifi, Kenya and across the globe. My dream is one day to get an opportunity to address against all these on a global platform. I am a connector with good network both locally and internationally. I am empathetic with zero judgement as I believe that, judgement is the absence of love.Everyone is fighting a battle we know nothing about, and have already suffered enough consequences, some of which are extreme cases such as defilement. In my capacity, I try more to give hope than add pain. I seek gradual personal transformation of victims and when faced with challenges I never give up but look for possible solutions. In summary, I can describe myself as a person who likes to connect with like minded people to realize my mission / vision/dreams and always ready to learn. I believe in doing my work with my team with alot of transparency honesty and upholding intergrity. I am passionate about giving back to the community and recently due to my commitment I was preveleged to be awarded the Heroine of the year 2019 in community service within the coastal region of Kenya.

I have worked very closely with Ms.Ziro and mainly assisted her in bid/proposal writing to get funds to enable Smiles of Hope Kenya to achieve some of the projects needed to empower the girl-child like period poverty and the drive to increase literacy by distributing books to school libraries her efforts can be seen on the social media handles like facebook.
