first day

Today is the first entry into my journal. I am excited about this site becasue of the freedom it will give me to right about issues affecting people in my country.
It is not easy to tell the world what is exactly happening in ones country because of fear of what others may perceive of that country. But as journalist whose mission is to inform, educate and entertain, while it is my duty to tell it as it is.
My passion for making people's lives better is rootly embedded in me because i have seen what lack of knowledge and information can do to people coupled with the fact that i live and interact with people from different backgrounds.
I have seen people, women, children the elderly being marginalised becasue they are ignorant of many issues concerning their lives.
So today is a great day for me because this is a journey to bettering the lives of women, the poor and children.
