CHANGE WITH HUMAN NATURE

In Most of the African country, wife used to stay at home taking care of the family matters including her lovely husband. This includes my home country Tanzania. The reason behind was the wife used to be neither an employee nor an entrepreneur. She was just sitting at home waiting his lovely husband to support all financial aspect and she proceed with domestic activities comfortably waiting her husband to come back from his job and show her "lovely care" as husband and wife.

This situation resulted on the gender imbalance to the community in the issue of education, leaders of the country, owing family property after the death of the husband , etc. Ladies were not taken to school since the financier was the father and not mother. By that time, it was not a priority to his budget to educate a lady.

Now days in Tanzania, most of the wives are either employees or entrepreneurs. This has resulted to educate ladies as many as possible and now the issue of gender balance is not a hot topic in our country since ladies and women are getting higher post of management since they have qualifications to compete including my self. This was the result of the campaign which was made with NGOs, Government and other stake holders.

What made me to share the story, wives are not taking their domestic responsibilities at home because they are busy with work and instead the house girls or boys are taking care of that. That is acceptable to every body. Another issue is that, wives are not available to show the "lovely care" to their lovely husband as husband and wife. The human nature of the woman is different from the human nature of the man when it comes to love. Since the wives are busy with works and some times they have to travel for some days, a problem of a husband having a wife who is not official (in swahili NYUMBA NDOGO) is growing very fast in the country. Also, divorce to young married women is now common. Children are experiencing single parent care.

It is now a time for another campaign to educate men so that they accept changes to their family and take that change as one step ahead to the development of the women. Human nature cannot be a barrier to success.
