BEING A WOMAN SHOULD NOT BE PAINFUL

One day I came across this message saying "BEING A WOMAN SHOULD NOT BE PAINFUL". I was very interested and asked myself on why this message comes out. Then, I thought of sharing this with you.

Scientifically, born a woman is proud because I play a very big role on creation of the human being. But also as a mother to my family taking care of the children and my husband too at the same time generating fund through my job to the family is a proud to me for being a woman.

But this does not work when comes to the woman in the village. The woman in the village is like a machine, a tractor or working tool to make sure every activity which needs manpower is done by a woman. To woke up early and sleep late is the responsibility of the woman. Not only that, but also violence, humiliations and also some ends up by losing parts of their body because of their husbands’ mistreatments.

We need to raise our voice to the world to change the situation of mistreatments and once we are united, this is possible. “Being a Woman should not be painful”.

Tchao!!

Very insightful piece Domina! I am a proud woman and I know for sure that it is a pride to be a woman. But because of some cultural belief systems, we are made to belittle ourselves, and doubt our capabilities when we hold such an important role in society.

Shukran, Thankyou for this!

Domina, your post is extremely powerful. I appreciate how you make the effort to point out that in no uncertain terms that Woman's capacity to create and sustain life is important, and that She should be valued for playing this role. I appreciate even more how after that, you spell out the ways in which the status of Woman in the village needs to be improved. I'm curious what you meant, meanwhile, by this: "We need to raise our voice to the world to change the situation and once we are united, this is possible." When 'we' raise our voice to the world, what do you envision us specifically telling the world, and what situation is it that needs to be changed? Anyway, I really think you're a very talented writer.
