Sexual and Gender Based Violence is a global concern

Ending Sexual and Gender based Violence is not a ones persons' effort but a collective and holistic approach. 

here In Uganda in refugee settlements there has been an increase in child marriages, defilement, intimate partner violence due to a global Covid-19 pandemic. this has affected almost every home that had adolescent girl child in the house. 

putting so much emphasis on prevention activities as well as response activities has been able to address some challenges.

increase in awareness creations and sensitization, media advocacy, empowering community leaders through trainings and capacity building  can help reduce on the cases of SGBV.

strengthening referral systems in communities can also help in reducing violence against women and girls. 

all these may need funding.
